The 2^nd European PhD and Postdoc symposium: The Promise of Future Medicine: From Research to Therapy will be held in Copenhagen from the 6^th to the 9^th of November 2018.

ENABLE aims to involve young scientists in opening the academic world from within by promoting crosstalk between biomedical disciplines, collaboration with industry, and engagement with society. The symposia are organized by and for young researchers and are inspiring events not to miss!

What can you expect at ENABLE - Copenhagen?

The event is part of a unique series of symposia made possible through ENABLE initiative: the European Academy for Biomedical Science.

Scientific symposium

A top-level scientific symposium that brings together eight influential scientists and 300 PhD students and postdocs to discuss the recent advances made in biomedical research and their impact on medicine.

ENABLE is more than just a regular conference. Participants will have opportunities for scientific exchange through short talks and poster presentations, and will also be able to share their personal experiences with the invited speakers during the social event “Dinner with speakers”

Career day

The career day is one of the core activities of the ENABLE event and participants will have the opportunity to develop their professional future as young scientists.

Participants will have the chance to broaden their horizons and expand their capabilities through three complementary career activities: insightful discussions with experts from different career paths in the Career Chats section, workshops aimed at building new skills, and an opportunity fair hosting potential job options from the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, publishing, or communication sectors.

Outreach activities

One of the main goals of ENABLE is to bring science closer to society through educational micro-talks that will be held by the participants at different pubs and bars across the city.

Moreover, a great variety of outreach activities for adults like Ask the Scientist and a Cross-disciplinary session, and for primary and secondary school students will foster the interaction between young scientists and the general public to raise awareness around biomedicine and its impact on healthcare.
