Round table with peers
On Wednesday, 12th of May, we will organize a Round Table debate where our attendees will have a unique opportunity to interact with scientists and leaders from academia and industry and gain insight into their career paths, obstacles they have encountered and how they overcame them as well as their general views on life in Academia. Moreover, attendees will be able to choose topics and lead the flow of discussion.
Round Table speakers:
- Borgermann Nikoline, Sustainable Research Consultant, Copenhagen, Denmark
- Duits Linda, Public Speaker and researcher at the Utrecht University, Netherlands
- Kalebic Nereo, group leader at Neurogenomics center, Human Technopole, Milan Italy
- Vassena Rita, Scientific Director EUGIN group, Barcelona, Spain
Cross-disciplinary session
“The trophy would not fit the suitcase because it was too small: Machine Learning between science and narrative”
We will organize a public discussion in collaboration with the eXtemporanea, a “small temporary scientific community” comprising students and researchers located all around Italy and Europe. The topic of this session will be Machine learning and it will be in English.
The main aim of the cross-disciplinary session is to encourage the participation of the general public in a dynamic discussion with speakers coming from different fields.
The final goal of the whole event is of course to offer people a different point of view on science and on scientist life.
Short talks
PhD and PostDoc attendees will be selected to present their current results and goals, alongside renowned speakers, in 15-minute presentations, including questions from the audience.
Poster sessions
Students are invited to present their own work in four poster sessions during the scientific days of the symposium.
Location
This year the ENABLE conference will be entirely online!
However, while everyone will be able to join the event and all its features from the safety of their homes, we are preparing for you some online content of the best landmarks of our host city: Milan!
